Inclusive playground equipment so no-one is left out...
Through innovative design, our inclusive playground equipment allows children with disabilities to be active side-by-side with the able bodied. We believe that every child should have equal access to good play opportunities. We don’t advocate designing our equipment to be accessible to all as it would make it unattractive to more able children.
Equipment that creates new challenges for all...
Whilst inclusive features are designed into most of our equipment, we don’t make any compromises on the challenge it presents. With our equipment there’s always an element of risk, allowing children of widely differing abilities to develop, explore and find the limits of their capability in an exciting way.
Equipment that doesn’t segregate...
That goes against our ethos, in our book we want to give children the opportunity of new experiences. Our aim is to create equipment that enables children, where possible, to leave their wheelchair behind. So we don’t offer wheelchair ramps, or wheelchair swings, or wheelchair roundabouts. What we do try to offer is freedom. Freedom to climb, freedom to slide, freedom to rotate, freedom to swing - for everyone.
Inclusivity that’s invisible...
When inclusivity is really working, you can’t see the joins. Take our rotating dish. It’s great for dynamic, fast play. But its thoughtful design incorporates support to give security for less able children. All children love playing with sand and water. And that’s why we also include sand and waterplay equipment in our range. It’s invisibly inclusive. Children can make a real splash whether they’re sitting in a wheelchair or standing up.
We’re creating a real free for all...
Our depth of knowledge has come through consultation and close working relationships with experts in disability, discrimination, access and inclusion. Along the way we’ve worked with city councils and special schools. One of our directors is a Governor of a special needs school and another was a director of Kidsactive. Together we’re creating new and exciting opportunities for able-bodied children to play with those with any form of disability.

These are some of the inclusive features that open up our play equipment to all children.
Large roofs for shelter and shade - vital as disabled children often feel the cold more than their able bodied playmates.
Large seats - good for meeting friends with room for helpers too.
Rounded slides - not just wide, but tunnel-shaped so children feel secure and can hold onto the sides.
Extra large soft rubber decks - plenty of space for children and helpers.
Drag ramps with handrails at two heights so able bodied children can simply walk up whilst the less mobile can climb using the rope and soft grips.
Large net climbs with a small mesh net and a shallow incline are big enough to take helpers.
Wide tread stairs in yellow and black to give maximum colour contrast to help the visually impaired.
